The man was on his fourth combat deployment in 10 years, with the first three being to Iraq. He had suffered a "mild traumatic brain injury" in the past, but he had been cleared for duty. He had marital problems after previous deployments to Iraq, though was also cleared for duty with officials determining that he had worked through those problems. |
