Forty-five percent of veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan are claiming disability and the most recent veterans are claiming an average of 11 to 14 ailments, a tremendous increase from the Gulf War. Veterans of Vietnam, Korea and World War II claimed far fewer disabilities on average than even Gulf War veterans.
