Angelo Casali, age 29, has known of his sexual orientation since he was a young boy. When he decided to join the U.S. Marine Corps in 2003, he did so completely aware that under the "don't ask, don't tell" policy (DADT), he was not allowed to announce that he was gay while he was in the military. He also knew that he could not change who he was and had no intention of trying. He was going to be who he was regardless of what anyone thought of him. |
