Sadr says to resist any U.S. presence in Iraq (Reuters) Posted: 03 Nov 2011 01:48 PM PDT Reuters - Anti-U.S. Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr said Thursday he would resist any American presence in Iraq, including a civilian one, beyond year-end when all U.S. forces depart nearly nine years after the invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein.

He also knew that he could not change who he was and had no intention of trying. He was going to be who he was regardless of what anyone thought of him.
